Was there some weird game in centuries past where boffins of natural science would sit around in their smoky parlours trying to devise ever more obtuse collective nouns for newly-discovered and classified species?
As if lyrebirds hang around in groups. Probably only when they head to the mall to check out the latest ringtones to mimic.
